Open late-night, just-perfect American bistro menu, huge interior, well executed decoration...you'd almost expect this place to be a gimmick given it's NYU-ish barely East Village location.

Except it's not, and an oasis in what's been known to be a culinary deadzone for years (The Smith's space literally used to be a Pizzaria Uno).

Think Schiller's if it was bigger, and catered to people with shallower pockets.
